چکیده

The behavior of dynamic strain aging (DSA) in a Zr-1.5Nb-0.4Sn-0.2Fe-0.1Cr alloy strip was investigated at temperature ranges 25–600 °C via tensile test. test performed two different rates 8.33 × 10-5 and 1.67 10-2 s-1. shear stress the revealed linear dependency on when specimens were tested under higher rate (1.67 s-1). However, relationship broken due to DSA samples deformed lower (8.33 discrepancy most significant 400 °C. trend similar irrespective orientation samples, i.e., rolling direction (RD) or transverse (TD). effect larger TD than RD samples. phenomena interpreted variation work hardening exponents sensitivity. value exponent decreased from 0.14 0.08 along 0.1 0.07 TD, respectively. smallest observed 400–500 specimen orientation, which is consistent with behavior. It suggested that caused by an interaction moving dislocations solute atoms typically oxygen.

Static Strain Aging Behavior of Low Carbon Steel Drawn Wire

The static strain aging is a phenomenon that can change the mechanical properties of low carbon steels. Thus, the static strain aging behavior of low carbon steel wires after drawing process is studied. To do so, the wires are austenitized at different temperatures and cooled in different rates. Then the wires are drawn and aged at a specific temperature and time. Before and after aging of each...

Dynamic recrystallization behavior and processing map of the Cu–Cr–Zr–Nd alloy

Hot deformation behavior of the Cu-Cr-Zr-Nd alloy was studied by hot compressive tests in the temperature range of 650-950 °C and the strain rate range of 0.001-10 s(-1) using Gleeble-1500D thermo-mechanical simulator. The results showed that the flow stress is strongly dependent on the deformation temperature and the strain rate. With the increase of temperature or the decrease of strain rate,...

Aging behavior in Cu–Al–Be shape memory alloy

This article reports positron annihilation spectroscopy and calorimetric measurements of the aging behavior in a Cu–Al–Be shape memory alloy. An excess of single vacancies is retained in the alloy as a result of a quench. All vacancies in excess disappear after long aging time, and a migration energy EM51.060.1 eV for this process has been found to be larger than in other Cu-based shape memory ...
